The work includes replacing the existing tie and ballast tracks; replacing existing overhead catenary system (OCS), including messenger wires, trolley wires and various components. Seismic upgrade for portal retaining walls; upgrading traction power cable infrastructure; adding a new accessible key stop at Judah and 28th Street. New VTAG loops at nine intersections along the N-Line route. Other miscellaneous scope includes upgrades to the curve signal system, fire standpipe valves, cleaning the drain lines and painting the portals.
